The girl sarpanch candidate in Harda district of Madhya Pradesh died a day after she was declared winner in the Panchayat elections. The administration has ordered an inquiry into the topic.
Sarpanch candidate Rukmani Bai of Pantalai gram panchayat of Timarni pattern block grew to change into the sarpanch after defeating her rival Jayanti Bai in the election. Family said that she died of cardiac arrest. Rukmani Bai had obtained the sarpanch on Saturday night by 344 votes.
Soon after the district Collector Rishi Garg got the records, he directed the SDM and spot in-fee to investigate the topic.
Rajesh, son of Rukmani Bai, said that with the cooperation of the total of us of the village, his mother was nominated for the put up of sarpanch. Her victory was infamous in the night. “She slept after having dinner, however didn’t ranking up in the morning,” said Rajesh.
Rukmani Bai was survived by her two sons, Rakesh and Mukesh, and a daughter.
