Russia’s International Minister Sergey Lavrov stated his country “recognises [Volodymyr] Zelenskyy as Ukraine’s legit president”, while emphasising that Russia’s easiest aim is to “demilitarise” Ukraine.
Talking during an interview on Wednesday, Lavrov stated Russia recognises Zelenskyy as Ukraine’s legit president. Nonetheless, Lavrov stated, “he [Zelenskyy] lied to the folk” on the side of his promise to total the country’s civil war.

Lavrov also accused Zelenskyy of promoting “anti-Russian, Russophobe” rhetoric.
“Zelenskyy has been promoting “anti-Russian, Russophobe” rhetoric and making extremely controversial statements, Lavrov was quoted by Russian media as asserting in an interview on Wednesday.
Emphasising that the aim of Russia’s “militia operation” is to “demilitarise and denazify” Ukraine, Lavrov stated the Ukrainians “must have a converse in this matter”.
As soon as Ukraine is demilitarised, “the Ukrainians must reflect themselves how they’ll live,” Lavrov stated in an interview with Qatar’s Al Jazeera TV channel. “All folk dwelling in Ukraine must have a converse in this matter,” he stated.
Sergey Lavrov’s assertion came because the Russian invasion of Ukraine entered its eighth day. Amid heavy shelling, bombing and toll road battling in substances of Ukraine, the Ukraine’s Articulate Emergency Service claimed that higher than 2,000 civilians have died for the rationale that foundation of the Russian invasion.
